Hello. I'm Dave Milligan. 

I have worked in professional audio all my working life, in fast-paced live BBC TV and Radio situations as well as Post Production. These days I work as Producer, Recording Engineer, Mixer and Mastering Engineer on music projects. This, combined with my lifelong experience as a gigging and recording musician,  enables me to get superb results quickly with no fuss, meaning your Live Show or Recording Project can be completed inexpensively and efficiently as well as professionally:

• MUSIC MASTERING Get your mixed album mastered to Red Book standard, ready for manufacture or upload to streaming services. I'll get your tracks to 'sit' together, and add punch and clarity which will make your tracks stand out.
• MULTI-TRACK RECORDING & MIXING Lay down full band multi-track recordings quickly and cost effectively at your favourite venue, rehearsal space or even a live show, using my hand-picked and discrete mobile studio rig.  You can take the tracks away to mix yourself, or I can mix them for you using experience gained from multiple projects across many genres. As a client, you can collaborate closely with me throughout the entire process, or leave it to me to do the technical stuff so you can concentrate on being a musician and performer. Either way you'll end up with a high quality final product.
• MUSIC PRODUCTION CONSULTING Do you have a home studio full of gear but you're not getting the results you want? I can come to you and help troubleshoot your workflow and recording techniques and help you gain the skills to mix like a pro.
• MAKE A LIVE ALBUM I can record your live show to multi-track, working alongside the venue's engineer to discretely record everything that happens on the night for mixdown later.
• PRODUCTION AND ARRANGING Have you got a song that just won't 'work'? Do your band all have conflicting opinions on what a particular track needs? Does your recording project lack direction and cohesion? I can lend an unbiased ear to your music and help you come up with a killer arrangement.
• ANALOGUE TO DIGITAL TRANSFER AND RESTORATION Get those old music projects and treasured family recordings transferred from old formats (cassette, minidisc, 1/4” tape, vinyl, HiFi VHS Audio etc). As long as you own the copyright we can make digital files and CDs, having carefully restored damaged audio as well as possible. We can even de-mix fully mixed tracks and remix them to sound better.
